Herbert Adams Headstone, cleaned and restored by Pete Shields
8th May 2009

Herbert Adams was a Private in The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, who died from Enteric Fever at the age of 20 yrs in Charlestown, South Africa in 1901, during the Boer War.
His Memorial Headstone was found recently, in a state of disrepair, and broken at the base, in St Michaels Churchyard at Brodsworth. Following a donation by Percy Potts (ex KOYLI) and work carried out by Pete(Doc)Shields (ex KOYLI) and his group, the Headstone has now been caringly restored and cleaned.
